Progress Report on Expo 2027 Yokohama, Japan was presented at the 172nd BIE General Assembly

At the 172nd BIE (Bureau International des Expositions) General Assembly, which was held on June 20, the Japan Association for the International Horticultural Expo 2027, Yokohama presented a progress report on Expo 2027, Yokohama Japan.

The BIE General Assembly is the supreme body of the BIE with the power to register or accredit international expositions. On June 20 – 21, 2023, the 172nd BIE General Assembly was held in the suburbs of Paris, France.
　
After the Expo was recognized at the 171st BIE General Assembly last November, progress report will be presented at every General Assembly twice per year.

At this General Assembly, following the speech of Mr. IGARASHI Yasuyuki, Deputy Director-General, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), Mr. SATO Hayami, Under-Secretary-General of the Association gave a presentation on the masterplan and promotion activities of the Expo.
