As the official ambassador, I am thrilled to extend a personal invitation to the upcoming International Horticultural Expo. This event will unite individuals from diverse countries, industries, and generations to collectively explore the future of our planet through the power of plants and nature. I firmly believe that understanding the interconnectedness of all life through plants and recognizing the exceptional capabilities and vitality of plants will propel us toward our main theme: "Creating Happy Landscapes of Tomorrow." I am determined to passionately share the appeal of GREEN×EXPO 2027 and to inspire as many people as possible to envision a brighter future.

She first came to prominence at the age of five with her role in the TV drama Mother (Nippon TV, 2010), before taking on the lead role in a television serial drama for the first time in Marumo no Okite (The Rules of Marumo, Fuji TV, 2011). She won the Best New Actor Award at the 34th Japan Academy Prize for the film Ghost (2010), and went on to receive the Best Newcomer Award at the 54th Blue Ribbon Awards — becoming the youngest recipient in the award's history — for Bunny Drop and Hankyu Railways: A 15-Minute Miracle (both 2011). She made her Hollywood debut with Pacific Rim (2013).
In recent years, she received the New Actor Award at the 47th Élan d'or Awards for the film BL Metamorphosis (2022). For the TV drama The Greatest Teacher (Nippon TV, 2023), she won the Supporting Actress Award at the 117th Television Academy Drama Awards and the 5th Noma Publishing Culture Award respectively. She received the Outstanding Supporting Actress Award at the 48th Japan Academy Prize for the film Cells at Work! (2024), and continues to be highly active across film, television, and commercial work.

We are deeply honored to have been appointed as an official ambassador for GREEN×EXPO 2027, which is being held in Yokohama, the city where we were born and raised. Under the theme "Creating Happy Landscapes of Tomorrow." GREENxEXPO 2027 is an exhibition that invites us to re-examine the future of the Earth and humanity through interaction with flowers and greenery. As ambassadors, we hope to convey this message to as many people as possible through our music, in our own unique way, so that nature and humanity can continue to coexist on this irreplaceable planet.
Profile
Formed in 1996 by Yūjin Kitagawa and Kōji Iwasawa, the duo made their CD début the following year in 1997 with the mini-album Yuzu no Moto. Since then, they have released a string of hit songs including Natsuiro, Niji, and Ame nochi Hallelujah. Their arena concert tour, held from autumn 2024 to spring 2025, attracted a total audience of 340,000. On 11 March this year, they released their latest album, Kokone, featuring entirely new material. Since spring, they have been touring with their first-ever nationwide acoustic arena tour, performed solely by the duo.
